With over 12 years of experience, Shelley brought a world of expertise home to Hermanus 7 years ago. An internationally qualified hairstylist, her journey took her across the globe — living and working in Miami, Europe and Saudi Arabia as a stylist aboard privately owned superyachts.

Hair has always been in her blood. Growing up in a salon alongside her mom and sister — both talented hairdressers — that early exposure ignited a lifelong passion. Today she specialises in blondes, brondes, balayage and tape-in extensions, combining global techniques with deeply personalised care to bring out the very best in every client.

Common questions

Everything you need to know

How long does a blonde or balayage appointment take?
Blonde and highlight appointments typically take 2–4 hours depending on the amount of colour, your hair length and the result you're after. Balayage can take 3–5 hours. We always do a thorough consultation first so there are no surprises on the day.
Will lightening my hair damage it?
We use Olaplex in every colour service to protect and rebuild bonds during and after lightening. Our focus is always hair health first — we will never take your hair to a level that compromises its integrity. If your hair needs strengthening before we go lighter, we'll tell you honestly.
How often do I need to come in to maintain my colour?
It depends on the look. Full blondes typically need a refresh every 6–8 weeks. Balayage is more low-maintenance and grows out beautifully — many clients come in every 12–16 weeks. We'll always advise a maintenance schedule that suits your lifestyle and budget.
Do I need a consultation before extensions?
Yes — a consultation is required for all extension appointments. We need to assess your hair's current health, thickness, and colour match before we commit to a fitting. This ensures the result is seamless and your natural hair stays protected throughout.
Do you do a patch test before colour services?
For new clients or anyone who hasn't had colour in a while, we recommend a patch test at least 48 hours before your appointment. Please mention any allergies or sensitivities when you enquire so we can plan accordingly.
What's your cancellation policy?
We ask for at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and no-shows on longer services may incur a fee. We understand things come up — just let us know as soon as you can via WhatsApp and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
